In 1959, at the age of 30, Mr Matthäus Vordermaier founded a company for the sale of agricultural machinery in Oberndorf near Salzburg.
Rainer Vordermaier joins the company in the second generation.
Not only is more storage space now available, but the area on the first floor is now also accessible by goods lift.
The personal company Rainer Vordermaier is transformed into Vordermaier GmbH.
Our company has grown into a leading supplier in the German-speaking region. The office and warehouse space is now fully utilised. The new building in Lamprechtshausen begins the following year.
The move to the new company building in Lamprechtshausen was completed in December 2003. The 14,000 square metre site, including 2,100 square metres of storage space, now offers us numerous opportunities for future growth.
In 2010, initial plans are drawn up for a 1,000 square metre extension to the warehouse. The extension begins in spring 2011 and is completed in autumn 2011.
After a year working in Italy, Christoph Vordermaier joins the company in the third generation.
Further important investments are made. The purchase of a 15,000 square metre plot of land opposite the existing company premises secures the long-term future of the company. In addition, the company website was completely redesigned and launched in the middle of the year.
The company has grown steadily over the past few years. Many new products have been added to our delivery programme since then, which is why it is now time to start building the new logistics hall.
With a length of 97 metres, a width of 35.4 metres and a height of 12 metres, a logistics hall was created that meets all the requirements of a modern wholesale company. In order to fulfil our environmental responsibility, a PV system was installed on the entire roof area of the hall. This provides the electricity for the entire company, including for our 10 electric forklift trucks.
The new logistics hall is equipped with a 10 metre high automatic mobile racking system, as well as cantilever racking which enables the proper storage of roll goods with a diameter of up to 2.5 metres, as well as the storage of goods up to 6 metres or longer.
From now on, all items can be stored under cover without exception. The spacious hall also makes it possible to load and unload several lorries in the hall at the same time. In total, more than 6500 m² of hall space is now available. The total operating area is 28,424 m².
